Restore Point Disappears
Is Win10 a clean install? If the problem existed on WinXP it might be a hardware issue. Your System Specs don't mention the length of the HDD so an issue could be inquired on how much free space is obtainable on it. Any setting in WinXP about the amount of space was used on System Restore would have been lost within a clean install of Win10.
Windows 10 Specifications - Microsoft
t here's 2.5gb restricted to system restore, the present usage is 6.84 mb,
being a programmer I'm not discovering how a hardware issue might cause a seeming valid
restore examine disappear. if there's some disk or memory problem, etc I would think it could prevent the point
from even being created initially.
I'm thinking to perhaps perform system 'repair' if thats possible with win 10. Its the option that could come up
for win xp when initiating an install then there is an existing installation. that had been a decent option if some system
files were corrupt and not having to perform a new install and lose the many apps, etc which was installed.
not sure how to make a repair for win 10 since I don't any install disk.
Please you can find relevant threads by in search of 'restore points lost' 'restore points disappear'e.g. from the search box above.
