Download Full firmware from Asus Official Device Support page. (Note that the downloaded firmware version ought to be earlier than your device's current version). (Download from End of Post).

How to UNBRICK Asus Zenfone 5



- fastboot devices (To check if the phone is linked to pc)

- fastboot flash recovery recoveryfilename.img (Enter the recovery file name exactly)

- adb sideload firmwarename.zip (Enter the downloaded firmware name exactly)

when we install the frim ware therefore, the cmd show cannot read frimware .zip

Hello,

Thanks to your post.

In my case all is working fine upto Step no 7 but my phone just isn't goint into recovery mode .

but starting this screen

droidboot provision os



reboot droidboot

reboot recovery

factory reset

last successful flash log

power off

fastboot init...

continue the fastboot process

astboot cmd waiting...



kindly aid me to unbrick my zenfone 5.

hey dude follow this steps

  1. download zenfone assist tool from xda


  2. unlock bootloader(dont when it is already unlocked)


  3. install twrp(dont when it is already installed)


  4. goto recovery mode and format the cache,data,userdata n system too..(congratulations, you dont have any os in ur device)


  5. now download cm12.1 n install it


  6. factory reset


  7. restart


*do above operations using zenfone assist*

I have zero OS during my phone at this time... and device is stuck at USB logo... does fresh installing cm12.1 will assist...?

hey dude... I did precisely the same what I said just now and yes it helps me lot... I used zenfone assist tool to make this happen...

Hi. I flashed cm12 to my asus_t00j. But now it isn't booting ahter th cm12 logo and i can't enter for the recovery mode likewise by pressing ppwer+volume up key. Please advice
