How To Install IIS On Windows 10

Basically, IIS is definitely an abbreviation for Internet Information Services, a web server from Microsoft. Steps to Install IIS on Windows 10

Step 1: Type Control Panel in Windows search bar, as shown from the image below.

Step 2: Under ‘Programs’ category, click “Uninstall a program” link.

Step 3: Now On the left-hand side you’ll find “Turn Windows feature On or Off” option, just select it.

Step 4: Here, you”ll find various features. Just Check “Internet Information Services” radio button to activate it.

Step 5: Now visit “+” sign next to the “Internet Information Services” to configure the extra features.

Step 6: I have selected “Web Management Tools” and “World Wide Web Services”. You can choose these traits according to your need.

Step 7: Now, to become more specific check out World Wide Web Services, simply click “+” as a way to expand it. This service is utilized to keep the world wide web server secure.

Step 8: Then turn to “Health and Diagnostics” under that check “Http Logging” and “Tracing” as shown inside the figure below. Basically, Tracing is employed to trace the online world requests easily.

Step 9: You can also select “Performance features” by exploring it. You may see two options, the first is for the static, and another an example may be for the dynamic content compression. This defines the kind of web pages you create, i.e., static web site or dynamic site.

I have chosen both “Static Content Compression” and “Dynamic Content Compression”. Once the changes happen to be made, select “OK” to fit IIS.

Step 10: It will take some time to fit. Wait for a while, when the changes are applied, Click on “Close” button.

To make certain that IIS comes with your system. You may open any browser that you want and then inside the address bar of this browser, just type “http://localhost”.

You will see a website as shown below.
