Can't Roll Back To Wds 8.1 From Wds 10 .

Can't roll back in Wds 8.1 from wds 10 ..

how to put in windows 10
Hi All

It's not a week when I upgraded to wds 10 ..

Now It won't i want to roll back ..

When I fo to Recovery .. and then click roll back ..START .. It keeps showing wds are unable to find the files to come back even if WINDOW OLD still in drive C "main" drive ..

The only technique to roll back is always to restore factory settings ..

Any helps ..appreciated ..

This happens when you realize how important doing a picture backup before upgrading is

How big may be the Windows.old folder? Maybe products have been deleted as a result?

You could download a Windows 8.1 ISO and employ it to create a usb drive or DVD to setup 8.1 from, particularly if the recovery fails. Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 ISO - Download or Create

I count an excessive amount of on what MS said " thirty days " .. " Dawn you MS " ..

I can go back in wds 8.1 any moment , this it will take me long time to fit all the programs and settings just how i like ..

Hmmm, it is fior Windows 7, but could also work for Windows 8:

How to bring back windows.old for windows 7 - Super User

how to setup windows 10I do not think it will use 10 ,

It's so ok ..I will hang around with wds 10 for awhile ... and decide on a weekend to reinstall 8.1 ..

Thank you for the help

Wouldn't hurt to test it since you're going to clean install 8 anyway. Would be nice to recognise if it works, may help others in the similar situation.

Definately ..I will try that first ..

Thanks .

The following conditions might cause the computer can't rollback from windows 10 to windows 8.1:

Create a different account

Remove the $Windows.~BT and $Windows.~WS folders essential for system to carry out the rollback operation.

tried other reduction / restore factory settings function

Remove the verification file installation

after monthly of upgrading to Windows 10

See Windows 10 -- : windows

His Windows.old there to stay, find out if it will be the same reason:

Found the key reason why it happened - The answer is more than likely because I used the media creation tool to download another copy and make up a bootable USB. However that second copy apparently replaces an original windows upgrade folder (~BT).
